Art Of War ~ Poem

To give a man a space to lay

His weary head upon the ground;

The drums beat in the distance

Warning war is all around.

Will they come by ship or horse,

Wandering through the eastern blue?

Will they come by blazing force,

Bringing the vile or the true?

The cliffs have held our archers

Who silently wait, bows drawn;

For those invaders of the east,

They come with the crimson dawn.

Though they may know the Art of War

It courses through our veins;

The souls of our old silent ones

Shall carry our song to the plains.

Our song is one of triumph

To victory we ride;

Our Art of War we've mastered thus

they should run and hide!
